Every summer, when my Aunt Caitlyn and Uncle Anthony take a trip to Floyd Fest, my Mom and Dad go to Jacksonville to puppysit our cousins, Teddy and Farah. Here they are in this sweet family photo…
So, of course, we tagged along to help keep the cousins in line. This was our first time hanging out with dogs outside our own little pack. Thankfully, Teddy and Farah are very patient doggies and they put up with our initial barking, growling, and sniffing of the butts! At first, Teddy was sad that his momma was gone, so he pouted for a while….
But, it wasn’t long before he warmed up to us and we all went to the park for some playtime. The park was fantastic! There was a doggie water fountain and a cute little dog house and plenty of grass to run and play on. We went to that park once or twice a day the whole time we were in Jacksonville.
One of my favorite things about our trip is when we went to the beach. I absolutely love the water so I was amazed at that big ole’ ocean. The other Fluffies were ok with it, but they weren’t as excited as I was. Ace, in particular, was a little grouchy. I don’t think he liked being sandy and wet. But I could’ve stayed all day. When we were headed back to the apartment, I just kept looking out the back window, wishing we could go back.
All in all, our first vacation was a big success. We really love our cousins and we can’t wait to see them again!
